I just stoped by the Apple website and noticed the article on their latest Design Awards.
As soon as I saw the award itself I had to find out more.
A quick search on Google presented me with a number of images and with a bit more effort I found a website from an award winner who [...]

As the Apple world waits for the announcements that will be made at the Mac Expo in San Fransisco, I hope that there will be a new iMac announced.
I currently use a MacBook (see here) but before this (and an earlier PowerBook) I used a G4 Cube. What would be cool would be if Apple [...]

In my earlier blog entry here I mentioned that whilst Steve Wozniak discussed his new book iWoz he also made many references to Steve Jobs. A few of the things he said are paraphrased below.
Statement One: Steve Jobs chose his University based on the fact that one of the professors had been awarded a Nobel [...]

Despite a steady stream of products Apple’s future wasn’t always as rosy as it is today. [...]

Ah roundrects, rectangles with rounded corners, visible everywhere in product design.
Used to make manufacturing easier – an item with a radius is easier to remove from a mould or press.
Used by designers to ’soften’ the visual appearance of a product and to make it more comfortable to the touch.
Used to remove sharp edges and make [...]

Q. How much does Apple Inc. care about design?
A. A great deal if you look at their products.
To show how far Apple Inc. care about design I have put together two pictures of laptop computers from Apple and from HP. These pictures are of the underside of the laptop. Let me stress that again, ‘the [...]
When you look at Apple’s web site every day as I do its easy to forget how the design has changed over the months and years. I came across a great web site that allows anyone to browse an archive of a web site as far back as 1996.
You can access the site here.
I looked [...]

I think I know where Apple gets some of inspiration.
Being a fan of Apple and Bang & Olufsen I have noticed some similarities in their design solutions. This is even more interesting when you consider that B&O were first to market with their designs.
First – Take a look at this image from the Apple site [...]
