Translucent Watch

picture-1.png

Designed by Masayuki Kurokawa, 2006

I love the simplicity of this watch that is available from the MOMA store.

“The translucent mineral crystal in this stunningly simple watch creates changes in its appearance when viewed in different light and at different angles. The watch has a stainless-steel case with quartz movement and the band is made of supple yet durable silicone in milky white”

This watch ticks all the right boxes;

  • Simple
  • White
  • Elegant

    I ordered this watch from the maker in Japan as Moma no long can get a hold of it despite numerous requests to the designer. I love it. Curiously the white silicone strap turned pale pink after I left it on a red tablecloth. I have tried leaving on other various colors overnight but it is still pale pink! I would love it to become white again and have left it many nights on white but…it is still pink! Any input?

    Thanks for your comment. Where did you order it from in Japan?

    Regarding the discoloration; I had the same issue with a pale grey watch designed by Philippe Starck. Despite cleaning it with soap and water through to solvent I could not shift it. Would bleach work? Although that might ruin it.

    Regards

    Steve.

    Sorry. I cannot help. You could try eBay perhaps.
