When Steve Jobs announced and demonstrated the Google Maps feature of the iPhone I was amazed. I have used Google Maps before as well as Google Earth to plan routes and look at satellite pictures of landmarks in the UK and USA. The fact that this will soon be available on a mobile device is great. The killer feature of Google Maps is the integration of businesses data and points of interest right onto the map.

I think Google Maps will replace the atlas, and could even render current Sat Nav systems obsolete [OK the maps could come from Google].

When I browse the internet I often come across Google Maps that are integrated directly into a web site and have wondered how it’s done. Well I came across a great site setup for web developers called sitelogic.co.uk where the editor has posted an article on how to do this here.
