S+arck O Ring Watch by Fossil

I have, for a long time, been a fan of the Fossil watches produced in collaboration with Philippe S+arck [Starck]. To date I have owned three.
The latest watch to catch my eye is the O-ring Digi – White Style: PH1084 that retails for $110.
This watch is unique in the fact that it has a hole through the face with a ‘ring’ shaped display around the circumference. The time is read by looking at the number of complete segments around the periphery [minutes] and the number which represents the hour. In the picture above the time is 3:15.
The strap is of the white resin type which might be an issue when it becomes marked or dirty. As with other S+arck watches the clasp is concealed when deployed.
Philippe Starck himself has stated that in today’s society we have little need for a wristwatch per se because the means of time telling is all around us on mobile phones, TVs, Computers, Etc. In his view the watch is becoming more like a bracelet.
Summary : Another innovative design by S+arck.
